1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the platform — browsing, listing, bidding, buying or acting as an agent — you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the marketplace.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be legally able to enter into binding contracts to buy or sell on the platform.
• Accounts are secured by an email plus a one-time code. Keep access to your email safe — you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information. Misleading identity details may lead to suspension.

3. Buyer Rules

• Provide a valid email, delivery address and accurate contact details when ordering.
• Funds for an order are held securely and released according to our verification and dispute process.
• Inspect goods promptly on delivery and raise any issue through the platform's support channels rather than off-platform.
• Do not misuse reviews, bids or the reporting tools to harass vendors or other users.

4. Vendor Rules

• List only goods and services you are legally entitled to sell, with truthful descriptions, prices and photos.
• Permit a verified Marketplace Africa agent to physically inspect your commodities or service location when a purchase is initiated.
• Accept that a standard operational and verification fee is applied to the final price.
• Fulfil orders as described and resolve buyer disputes fairly and promptly.
• Auction listings in Bid Markets run for the stated duration; the highest valid bid at close wins.

5. Verification Agent Rules

• Conduct fair, on-site inspections of the commodities and locations you are assigned.
• Submit truthful, unbiased reports and ratings based solely on what you find.
• Keep buyer and seller details strictly confidential.
• Act as an independent contractor supporting the integrity of the marketplace.

6. Payments, Fees & AMRC Coin

Transactions are settled through the platform's supported payment channels and wallet. AMRC coin and major cryptocurrencies are accepted where available. Orders totalling zero are rejected, and the server independently calculates prices, taxes, fees and discounts — the amounts shown to you at checkout are the authoritative ones.

7. Verification, Dispatch & Delivery

Depending on the item, an agent may verify quality and quantity before dispatch. Delivery timelines depend on the vendor and location. Any additional instructions you provide at checkout are passed to the assigned agent.

8. Refunds & Disputes

Where an item materially differs from its description or fails verification, buyers may be eligible for a refund in line with our Refund Policy. Raise disputes through the platform so our team can review the verification records and resolve them fairly.

9. Prohibited Items & Conduct

• No illegal, counterfeit, stolen or restricted goods and services.
• No fraud, price manipulation, fake bids, spam or attempts to move trades off-platform to evade verification.
• No harassment, hate speech or infringement of others' rights.

10. Limitation of Liability

Marketplace Africa provides the platform that connects buyers, vendors and agents. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from a transaction, though our verification and dispute processes are designed to protect all parties.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the marketplace evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
