Bid Markets Policy

Applies to every exotic good and rare service listed for competitive bidding.

1. 15% Operations & Verification Fee. A fee equal to 15% of your listing price is added to every listing to form the final reserve price. You still receive your full listing price; the fee funds physical verification, secure settlement and buyer protection.

2. Bidding Duration. Each auction runs for a duration you choose — from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 30 days. The auction closes automatically when its timer ends, and no bids are accepted after that point.

3. Reserve Price. The final reserve price is the lowest acceptable bid. Any bid below the reserve price is not accepted.

4. Binding Bids. Once a buyer places a valid bid it is binding. The highest valid bid at the close of the auction wins, subject to Marketplace Africa verification.

5. Accurate Listings. You confirm the item or service is genuinely available, accurately described, and legally yours to offer for sale. Exotic goods must comply with all local and international trade regulations.

6. Verification & Dispatch. Winning purchases are subject to physical verification by a Marketplace Africa agent before funds settle and the item is dispatched.
